Eli Ives Healing Society - $500 to $999

Today it is difficult to imagine health care without seeing pediatric medicine as its own specialty for the care of children. Eli Ives (1778 - 1861) pioneered the teaching of pediatrics in the United States. He was the first academic pediatrician in the U.S. and served as the Yale Professor of Diseases of Children. We honor his legacy to develop and train physicians to see the care of children in its own right. Members of the Eli Ives Healing Society are among a group of friends supporting the care and cure of our most vulnerable population: infants, children, and adolescents.
